Description
As per http://blog.golang.org/2011/03/go-becomes-more-stable.html, the tagging scheme used for releases in the Go repository has changed. The release.2011-02-01 tag used by this port is no longer correct; weekly.2011-02-01 is the new equivalent.
The attached (trivial) patch fixes the issue.

There are still release tags. there is a 'release' which I assume is the latest release and there is a 'release.r56'. I don't know which macports uses, the latest snapshot ('release') or the weeklys, or if there should be both go and go-unstable or something similar.
