how long does this take to work? I tried to install metis again today and did 'sudo port clean metis' first and then 'sudo port install metis' and it failed with a checksum error again. here is the log:

Did you selfupdate before running the commands you mentioned?

I did run selfupdate yesterday after the notice of the fix, but I guess that was too soon. I just ran it again and the install of metis was successful. thanks.

how long does this take to work?

The main rsync server syncs with the Subversion repository every half hour. Other rsync servers sync less often, at a schedule chosen by their owners.
