But it’s not updated in the MacPorts repository or is it? A port selfupdate and port upgrade curl-ca-bundle still produces the errors.

Yes, it is, in r77458.
A port selfupdate and port upgrade curl-ca-bundle still produces the errors.
You may need to wait a half hour for the change to synchronize from the Subversion repository to the rsync server (or longer, if you're not using the main rsync server).
