Port: | transmission |
Description
The transmission port checks for updates using sparkle and allows the user to update itself this way. The port should prevent this; MacPorts should be the only mechanism by which a user updates software that was installing using MacPorts.

I"m not sure how hard this would be - vlc/gitx have patches that remove their sparkle

I"m not sure this is the best way - it appears to work by disabling the menu entry

This is a continuation of #22618 in which the automatic checking was disabled (but manual checking and updating is still possible).
