Description
The x264 + ffmpeg projects move at a fast pace.
I've been running latest ffmpeg-0.7-rc1 + x264 mid may version for weeks now and the new options, especially the video filters are amazing.
If you'd like me to contribute my Portfiles I'm happy to do so.
Maybe ffmpeg-bleed + x264-bleed.
To do this I'd require some slight assistance ensuring correct Portfile internal naming.

I just bumped x264, ffmpeg-devel, and mplayer-devel as part of my clang-fest. The new API in ffmpeg-devel doesn't work well with some other ports (transcode and libquicktime come to mind) ... anyways, if you have comments, I'd love to hear them. Hopefully the changes will help you.
I built tested all dependent ports (except for VLC09) to make sure they still built with the new x264.
I've emailed devans a few times over the past 2 weeks re: build fixes and haven't heard back. He's usually pretty active, but he's been quiet recently (only 3 commits since April 23).
I'm sure he'd be willing to add you as co-maintainer since they're openmaintainer anyways, but I'll let him do that.
