dph, were you able to contact Mr. Lindberg about this?

Two people have a more up-to-date code of ManOpen on GitHub. One of them is me and the other is JanX2. I might pick it up an incorporate Lion features when I learn what APIs do that.

Huh, I thought I had a screen name here. I guess I don't. For those who are curious, mine is Madd the Sane, but I go by MaddTheSane on GitHub.

Yes, I was contacted about this -- I have finally updated the application, so the code should now build fine on Lion (or any 10.4+ system I think).

I've done some investigation of this failure (independent of this issue ticket). The build in failing in source as the code is quite old and using many deprecated methods and functions some of which are now gone and this is the core reason for the failure. As there is no license associated with this project, I do not feel comfortable offering my fixes; however, I have written to Mr. Lindberg about the source distribution and licensing terms.
