Description
cmake-devel-2.1
Portfile is ATTACHED
Description: This port supports building CMake from Kitware's cvs repository. The repository contains a number of fixes for problems that prevent the current release from building on MacOS X 10.4 Tiger.
Homepage: http://www.cmake.org/
Comments: I do not have a date-specific snapshot, but it might be nice to include for ports a cvs.date tag for cvs ports like this and others. Primarily, I needed the cvs version of CMake, and I find the port command is tremendously useful for managing just about anything that requires a 'make install'.

Isn't it considered bad policy to have ports which fetch from CVS in the distribution, as there is no way to tell what version people have installed?

indeed, bad policy and shouldn't be done.

Understood, but perhaps an elevation of bug #2897 could resolve maintenance problems with fetching ports from CVS repositories.
