Maven 1.0 Uninstall Fails

Description
I installed the maven package. When I try to uninstall it I get an error about the /opt/local/var/macports/software/maven/1.0.2_0 directory not being empty. Afterwards the maven package is still installed.

This looks like the upgrade from a pre-2.0 base version partly failed. Show the output of:
sudo port -df selfupdate

sudo port -df selfupdate failed with a "Couldn't sync the ports tree" error. The output of the command is attached as port-df-selfupdate.log. I can ping rsync.macports.org.

I spoke too fast. I tried running this command again and it succeeded.

Do you have a log from the successful selfupdate? Or did the problem go away afterwards?

No response; closing.
If I delete the offending directory I am able to successfully uninstall the port.
