geos @3.3.0: Undefined symbols __ZNSt8auto_ptrIN4geos4geom8EnvelopeEEcvSt12auto_ptr_refIT_EIS2_EEv

Building geos on os x lion with

sudo port install geos +universal 

or

sudo port install geos

fails with error:

Error: Target org.macports.build returned: shell command failed (see log for details)
Log for geos is at: /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_science_geos/geos/main.log

Status changed to closed. I've done port -v selfupdate, cleaned geos, but I still have the same error during build.
