phonon vlc backend for amarok and kde apps

Please can you add or replace the Quicktime phono backend (libphonon_qt7.dylib)

with phonon-vlc (backend) ​git://anongit.kde.org/phonon-vlc

this is the best backend and updated recently (advised by #phonon)

i hope it will fix the amarok streaming radio bug for icecast and shoutcast plugin stations

Can you be a bit more specific about what you are asking for? Is this an update to an existing port? A new port? A variant for a port? ... ?

Is this ticket still an issue? I think the OP is asking for Phonon backends, which as of 4.5.0 are not included in the distribution (and, we're at 4.6.0 now). But, I'd rather the OP verify this.
