py27-wxpython is only installed i386, because its dependency wxWidgets can only install i386. No 64-bit version is available from the developers of wxWidgets. So if you're on a 64-bit Mac, you have to forcibly run the 32-bit version of python instead of the 64-bit one you'd get by default. So instead of running python2.7
, run arch -i386 python2.7
.
