Would love to this get updated to version 9.0. C-Kermit has been open sourced as of version 9.0 under a Revised 3-Clause BSD License.

  • Open Source license.
  • 64-bit file access and transfer and 64-bit integer arithmetic on most common platforms.
  • Support for recent releases of Linux, Mac OS X, *BSD, etc
  • Support for newer OpenSSL releases up to and including 1.0.0d
  • Strengthened error checking for file transfer under extremely harsh conditions.
  • Simplified semantics for variables used in scripts.
  • Super-handy extensions to the RENAME command.
  • Other scripting improvements including support for reading and writing CSV and TSV files.
  • MIME character-set names are now recognized.
  • Improved logging and debugging.
