I did a port fetch and I get the same checksum as the person that created the ticket. I also checked ​http://hg.ocaml.info/release/res/changelog and I believe there hasn't been any changes in a very long time.

The distfile referenced by the current portfile is actually gone upstream. Trying to fetch it redirects to a bitbucket page (not a download). The new distfile appears to be at ​https://bitbucket.org/mmottl/res/downloads/res-3.2.0.tar.gz.
