#32096 closed defect (duplicate)

python27 failing destroot due to "wrong architecture" for pyexpat.so

Reported by: Sam.Halliday@… Owned by: macports-tickets@…

Component: ports Version: 2.0.3

Port: python27

Description

The tail of my failed install/upgrade of python27 is here

http://pastebin.com/BAVRQAq0

I installed a fresh version of macports on a newly upgraded OS X Lion a few weeks ago and I haven't been building any strange alternatives (except with libusb which needed an extra architecture for some bizarre reason, as a part of the gimp-app build chain).

I created a FRESH macports on OS X. There is no migration here.

Note that I have a lot of i386 variants - I didn't do this manually (except for libusb, which failed otherwise) - but it is likely that wine or wine-devel have insisted on the 32 bit variants.

user 'drkp' on the IRC #macports has suggested installing "py27-xml +universal" as a workaround. I will try that.

Yep, this actually looks like a duplicate of #32090
