Port: | gsed |
Description
just ran "selfupdate" on port with no errors, after uninstalling all ports, and running "port clean all": no errors. Started reinstalling ports. Installed gawk, with all dependencies. No error.
entered " sudo port install gsed". Ended with error:
Error: Target org.macports.activate returned: error renaming "/opt/local/var/macports/software/gsed/mpextractOHns8CKs/opt/local/libexec/gnubin/man/man1/sed.1.gz" to "/opt/local/libexec/gnubin/man/man1/sed.1.gz": permission denied
port gsed is listed as installed, but does not show as active. I am attaching main.log.

Retried installing after reading Migration:
{{{sudo port clean gsed Password: ---> Cleaning gsed Slipper in ~/MacPorts Sun Jan 15 15:56:16 sh -bash 3.2 (521) $sudo port install gsed configure.compiler=llvm-gcc-4.2 ---> Computing dependencies for gsed ---> Activating gsed @4.2.1_2 ---> Cleaning gsed}}}
{{{port list active expat @2.0.1 textproc/expat gawk @4.0.0 lang/gawk gettext @0.18.1.1 devel/gettext gperf @3.0.4 devel/gperf gsed @4.2.1 textproc/gsed libiconv @1.14 textproc/libiconv ncurses @5.9 devel/ncurses ncursesw @5.8 devel/ncursesw readline @6.2.000 devel/readline}}}
So the problem has gone away.
