Description
I've been trying forever to install wine with macports and continually get an error that python27 could not be installed. I get the error with or without an install on my system. I'm fairly new to working within terminal so not completely confident in what I'm doing.
I've tried cleaning python27 but still get the same error, here's a read out of what I get in terminal:

As you can see I ran the install command using sudo and have also tried logging in as root and installing from there - although I know it would make no real difference, I'm at the point where I'm trying anything and everything :(
I'm running Lion 10.7.2. Everything is up to date including XCode. I have also attached the failed install log
Thanks in advance - looking forward to your response.

Thanks for your reply. I ran:
sudo port clean python27
as requested ... do you have any idea wear this completed log file will be stored? Or will the previously incomplete log now be complete after this clean ?

...... So shall I resubmit the main.log file after performing sudo port clean python27 ?
