Please consider creating a port for ​winexe; it's a crucial tool for working with Windows from any *nix/Mac system.

We could use the Homebrew formula as a reference: ​https://github.com/mxcl/homebrew/blob/master/Library/Formula/winexe.rb

Stuff from it note for the portfile:

  • There's one small patch
  • There's an autogen.sh script to run beforehand
  • configure.args-append --enable-fhs
  • build.target-append basics idl bin/winexe (not sure why they're so specific about the make targets but whatever)

Anyone planning to add winexe to macports? I don't like to download a binary manually, would be great if we have it in our package manager!
