Description

Update to latest stable and also fix for #27716. Also I simplified the Portfile: removed unnecessary configure parameters, explicit dependencies (gettext provides ncurses), autoreconf and post-destroot code.

Please remember to cc the maintainer.

Note we usually do whitespace-only changes separately, but that's up to the maintainer when applying the patch. Thanks for setting the license field, though, since that helps with binary distribution.

This patch also removes a post-destroot phase added because of #2599 (wow, that was quite a while ago), I guess you're sure this can be removed and these lines are outdated by now?

Yep, I checked and those files aren't installed anymore. Also I checked the configure.args.
