sudo port upgrade outdated

I tried deactivating the port and -f update.....

You must not have upgraded your ports in over a year; this was a hot problem quite some time ago after the perl ports were changed in r76485. In the future, you should upgrade more frequently.

"sudo port upgrade perl5.8" first. Then you can continue upgrading the rest of the outdated ports.
