Since this is now hosted at github apparently, the port should use the github portgroup.
We would rather not fetch from git. I've filed a ticket with the developer asking him to create a tag for version 1.7; then we can easy download from a tarball.

See also #51531 for my suggestion to remove the port. I wasn't aware that this particular ticket existed and that there were any updates on GitHub, but even then, the GitHub repo hasn't been touched for years (it only has 7 commits) and the author didn't even manage to make a tag.
