$ uname -a Darwin localhost 9.8.0 Darwin Kernel Version 9.8.0: Wed Jul 15 16:55:01 PDT 2009; root:xnu-1228.15.4~1/RELEASE_I386 i386 $ port install ccl fails.

So the first error is:
i686-apple-darwin9-gcc-4.0.1: directory: No such file or directory
That exists at /usr/bin/i686-apple-darwin9-gcc-4.0.1 on my Leopard machine. Does your compiler work at all?
