This ticket was filed in reply to comment:ticket:34128:1. In the future please just add a comment to the existing ticket rather than filing a new one.

The first error in the new log seems to be: 

:info:build /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_sysutils_groff/groff/work/groff-1.21/src/roff/groff/groff: can't find `DESC' file
:info:build /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_sysutils_groff/groff/work/groff-1.21/src/roff/groff/groff:fatal error: invalid device `html'

I don't know what this means or what to do about it.
