Ok sorry. just created two more tickets without noticing this message.. For me it's HIGH because I need this port NOW =) why maintainers doesn't check ports on fresh install macports.. before putting it live? same was with vim checksum for example..

We do the best we can with limited available resources. We are unpaid volunteers working on MacPorts in our spare time.
I don't know what the distinction is that links is trying to make between "openssl" and "OpenSSL"; I agree that's weird but it's a question you'd have to ask the developers of links.
Please attach the config.log; maybe it has more information about why configure failed. Configure succeeds for me, but I have a different OS X & Xcode version than you.

You've attached what looks like a terminal transcript. Could you attach the file called "config.log" that's located in the directory /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_www_links/links/work/links-2.5? It might contain more info.

We're still waiting to see your config.log file, in the hopes that it will contain pertinent information that will help us diagnose and fix this problem. Could you attach it, please?

In the future, please Cc the port maintainer(s) and do not set the Milestone field or the Priority field to High.
