tightvnc: configure failure: error: empty character constant

When I try to install tightvnc I get the following:

We've seen that error before in other ports; I believe we found a solution; search the issue tracker...

I am still getting this error and I am unable to find a specific fix. Please advise. I've uninstalled XCode and reinstalled XCode, I've also uninstalled and reinstalled macports.
