Port: | py-scientific py-ipython |
Description
Prior to r87833, py-scientific was available for python24. Currently, py24-ipython depends on py-scientific, but py-scientific is now just a stub that depends on py27-scientific.
Either py24-scientific needs to be added, or py24-ipython needs to be deleted.

We are supposed to be on a quest to remove all of python 2.4 from MacPorts, not re-add it where it's already been removed.

Didn't know that.
I'm happy to remove the 2.4 support... but py24-ipython
isn't mine to fiddle with. If whoever wants to remove py24-ipython
they should feel free to back out r93700 also.

I'm not sure why there needs to be a "quest". If the relevant maintainers decide that a python24 version is no longer necessary or no longer feasible, they can remove it. They just need to coordinate with the maintainers of dependents when doing so.
I've re-added python 2.4 support in r93700, but no guarantees that it works. Python 2.4 is pretty old... but then again, so is Scientific Python... :-)
