gdk-pixbuf fails to compile on x86_64 (Lion)

Hi all, I tried to install gdk-pixbuf and get the following errors:

--->  Computing dependencies for gdk-pixbuf
--->  Building gdk-pixbuf
Error: org.macports.build for port gdk-pixbuf returned: command execution failed

This was not a clean attempt. "sudo port clean gdk-pixbuf" and try again, and attach the new main.log if it fails again.

Certainly yes, a newer version of gdk-pixbuf exists, in the gdk-pixbuf2 port.

Please note that gdk-pixbuf is an old essentially obsolete port designed to be used with the old gtk1 port series.

gdk-pixbuf2 is the correct port to use with gtk2. So unless you need to support an old gtk1 only package, you're probably installing the wrong port.

This port no longer exists in MP, it has been officially replaced by gdk-pixbuf2, so I'm closing this ticket as wontfix.
