wxWidgets build fails for MaxOSX 10.8

Newly installed MacOSX 10.8. XCode commandline tools and port are up to date. 

% sudo port install wxWidgets
Error: Cannot install wxWidgets for the arch(s) 'i386' because
Error: its dependency jpeg is only installed for the arch 'x86_64'
Error: and does not have a universal variant.
Error: Unable to execute port: architecture mismatch

Duplicate of #35344. Don't know why it happens. Install wxWidgets' dependencies (e.g. jpeg, etc.) with the universal variant manually.
