Description: | modified (diff) |
Keywords: | mountainlion clang added; perl5.8 perl-5.8.9 "CHILDSTATUS 87185" removed |
Owner: | changed from macports-tickets@… to ricci@… |
Port: | perl5.8 added |
Priority: | High → Normal |
Summary: | error on building perl5.8 → perl5.8: error: address expression must be an lvalue or a function designator |
Confirmed on Mountain Lion. As a workaround, you could try using a different compiler.
comment:3 Changed 12 years ago by normann@…
alternatively used compiler llvm-gcc-4.2 as suggested, still doesn't work. The tried compiler apple-gcc-4.2, no luck either. So frustrating on this.
BTW, my Xcode version is 4.4.

Also can confirm that this still happens with Xcode 4.4.1 including the updated command line tools.
