xercesj cannot find JVM on mountain lion — at Initial Version

Description
building xercesj on mountain lion gives the following result:
org.macports.build for port xercesj returned: command execution failed
The log file (attached) makes this issue look a lot like this one to my untrained eye: https://trac.macports.org/ticket/35786, so hopefully it will be possible to leverage that fix.
