Hello,
I am trying to install gdb. I get the error
--> Attempting to fetch gdb-7.3.tar.bz2 from http://svn.macports.org/repository/macports/distfiles/gdb Error: org.macports.fetch for port gdb returned: fetch failed
When I copied the http://... link into Safari, the web address did not exist. Can someone please help. Thank you.

Are you really using Macports 1.4.0? I assume that's a mistake.

Sorry, indeed it is a mistake. I am using 2.1.2 and had the error.

Thank you for the fix. I have successfully installed gdb version 7.3. Quick question, under port list installed, i see gdb. I still have Apple's old gdb 6.3.50 which appears when I type gdb -v into terminal. I looked through my list of executables, and can't seem to locate it. Below is the list beginning with gd*.
gd2copypal gd2togif gd2topng gdb gdbus gdbus-codegen gdcmpgif
