Description
Dear all, i got the last release of Macports, and osx m-lion updated; i fondo that in really slow to compile and build everything that i try to port.
Atm I'm installing ghc and it's taking ages, like 2 hours. I just wanna understand if is a problem with the compiler on Xcode, or with my Mac whatsoever. I use a MacBook 2ghz i7 with 4gb of RAM
Thanks in advance

Yes, it's probably normal for ghc to take hours to compile on a 2 GHz computer. Please wait longer.
We will eventually have a Mountain Lion buildbot which should eliminate the need for you to compile many of the ports yourself. See #35397. We already have buildbots for Snow Leopard and Lion.
