Could you please try again? The file is there, but apparently the connection was momentarily too slow to download it.

Replying to ryandesign@…:

I tried, but no use. I downloaded the files manually from packages.macports.org , and placed them in /opt/local/var/macports/incoming/verified Now I'm getting the same problem for other packages too. I'm trying to install git-core, some packages are downloading just fine, but some are giving this error.

It sounds like a problem with your network to me. Is it unusually slow?

I'm connecting from Japan, on a very fast connection. Anyhow, I finished the installation using manual download for the dependencies that gave me this error. I still have no idea why it gives this error in the first place. If it's a network problem, it wouldn't be reproducible with the same ports. I'm giving you the list of the ports that I had to download manually.

cctools-headers-836_0 curl-ca-bundle-7.28.0_1 p5.12-net-http-6.10.0_2 py27-configobj-4.6.0_0 py27-scipy-0.11.0_0 xorg-xextproto-7.2.1_0

The rest of the ports worked very fine. I don't know what's special about those. Thanks anyway.
