hdf5-18: Upgrade to latest & bump dependents

Description (last modified by eborisch (Eric A. Borisch))

hdf5-18 is ready to be upgraded. I've included a patch that rev-bumps all the dependents. (As you probably recall, HDF5 spits out nasty messages when run with a different version of the library than compiled against.)

Please take a moment to review / comment and I'll plan on committing this bulk change On 1/20/2013 if there have been no concerns raised.

Note the hdf5-18 portion also sets clang as the compiler as llvm-gcc-4.2 generated code is failing the type conversion tests.

Thanks for preparing the update.

Leopard and older systems don't have clang. I think you could use

compiler.blacklist llvm-gcc-4.2

Resolution: fixed
Status: newclosed

Applied (with blacklist rather than setting to clang, as pointed out above) in r101867.
