Description

Hi All

A few months ago I installed:

=============================
texlive-latex
texlive-latex-extra
texlive-latex-recommended
=============================

... and all their dependencies using Macports. About 2 weeks ago, it suddenly stopped working (shell: latex: command not found). I spent ages uninstalling and reinstalling stuff and finally got it working again. If I recall correctly, I found a hack somehwere on the web that seemed to do the trick. Unfortunately, the same thing suddenly started happening again today! I really want to get to the root of the problem. My guess is it's something to do with linking errors. When I ran:

=============================
sudo port upgrade outdated
=============================

... I got LOTS of warning messages:

Really not sure how to go about this. Please advise. Thanks Angliski

I don't know why there should be an error opening or reading those files. Do you? Do those programs work?

Looks like corruption on your computer somehow. Try rebuilding the ports in question.
