We need more information than this. When the py27-keybinder installation fails, it should mention a main.log file; please attach that file to this ticket.

Missing configure.pkg_config_path?

Yes. It's been mentioned before.

The solution I proposed is to append the correct value to configure.pkg_config_path in the python portgroup itself. Do you see any problem with that idea?

I missed that the keybinder port doesn't use the python portgroup, so it needs a separate fix. r105742.
