subversion 1.2 does not work

Description
I built subversion using the current port (1.2) and it does not work. When trying to connect to my server, I get a "PROPFIND failed" because of lacking authorization. The server I connect to is apache and mod_dav based with subversion 1.1. Additionally, there is a LIMIT on everything, also PROPFIND.
I think this somehow comes from subversion not logging in before trying to send a header.
*However* the subversion 1.2 from http://www.codingmonkeys.de/mbo/ does work without problems.

I haven't had any problems with the subversion 1.2.0 dport.
