Error: command execution failed during port build for stimfit

Hi all,

I have been searching this site's database extensively, and while I have found many options to try to solve my problem, I have yet to come across a solution. I apologize in advance if this is a duplicate post; unfortunately, my understanding of macports is slim enough to make it difficult for me to distinguish between simialr or duplicate errors.

I am attempting to install a program called stimfit using macports. The official install guide can be found here: ​http://www.stimfit.org/doc/sphinx/osx_install_guide/building.html

On the final step of the install, I am confronted with the following error:

Error: org.macports.build for port stimfit returned: command execution failed
Please see the log file for port stimfit for details:
    /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_Users_Mike_stimfit_macosx_macports_science_stimfit/stimfit/main.log

Error: Processing of port stimfit failed

I have just run the command sudo port clean stimfit, and then sudo port install stimfit. I hope that this has produced a useful log file, which is attached to this post.

Please let me know if any of you can figure out what it is I'm doing wrong.

stimfit is not part of macports.

Also, the failure happened during the Stimfit build. Report the error to the Stimfit developers.
