Description
gcc48 should be updated to a stable version instead of a snapshot. This had previously been requested in #38500 and #38758. Remember that the epoch will need to be increased when you do this. The epoch of the libstdcxx subport is already at 1. For simplicity you could increase the epoch of both gcc48 and libstdcxx to 2 with this update (i.e. just list "epoch 2" in the global part of the portfile and remove the "incr epoch 1" line in the subport).

gcc48 was downgraded to 4.8.0 in r106172.
Note: See
TracTickets for help on using
tickets.
The version of gcc48 shipped is newer than gcc-4.8.0. It contains 4.8.0 plus stable patches from upstream. If you want to switch to versioned releases, we should do that with 4.8.1
