maxima has a problem with sbcl

I tried to run wxmaxima, but it failed, so I tried maxima from the command line and got this here: 

$ maxima
fatal error encountered in SBCL pid 27195:
can't load .core for different runtime, sorry

What can be done about this?

Yes, I have an up-to-date MacPorts installation here on my SL.
