But first, clean and try again.

That's not a clean log, but fortunately somebody else already provided a clean log for this problem in attachment:ticket:38048:main.log. The relevant error seems to be:
:info:build Undefined symbols for architecture x86_64: :info:build "QPtrList<DCOPClientTransaction>::deleteItem(void*)", referenced from: :info:build vtable for QPtrList<DCOPClientTransaction> in libDCOP.4.2.0.dylib-master.o

I reported this bug in item 38048. I reproduced this bug just now after I ran:
sudo port selfupdate sudo port clean kdelibs3 sudo port install kdelibs3
I am using MacOS X 10.7.5 with a native (Mac) version of Qt4 installed, but no version of Qt3 other than the one from Macports, IIRC.

If qt4-mac is installed on your system you should be able to install qt3. This is odd. Can you post the output of "port installed qt"?
comment:9 Changed 11 years ago by wulfgang@…
I am sorry for putting it imprecisely, Qt4 is installed natively, without Macports. I do not have qt4-mac installed since it conflicts with the package qt3 which I have installed.

Oh, sorry, I didn't get that. Haven't seen such a setup yet.
I use parallel MacPorts installations to achieve the same.
I have kdelibs3 installed successfully on my Snow Leopard.
