opendx @4.4.4_3: mkdir: /opt/local/dx/java/server/nets: Operation not permitted

opendx @4.4.4_3 fails at the destroot phase, saying:

mkdir -p /opt/local/dx/java/server/nets
mkdir: /opt/local/dx/java/server/nets: Operation not permitted

Naturally it is not permitted for ports to write outside of the destroot directory during the destroot phase.

The port cannot be installed at all if you don't fix this problem, which still exists.
