This was not a clean build attempt. Please clean ImageMagick, try upgrading, and attach the full main.log if it fails again. (A complete log will not have the “Skipping” lines I quoted.)

Also, you are actually attempting to upgrade to version 6.8.5-5.

Thanks for the quick reply. You're right, I was trying to upgrade ImageMagick 6.8.5-5. I tried to clean ImageMagick ahead from building now:

sudo port clean --all ImageMagick

... however, the problem persists.

ImageMagick was updated to 6.8.6-6. Does that work for you? If not, please attach a new main.log from that version.

No, unfortunately it didn't (see attached main.log). Is ImageMagick still supposed to work with OS 10.6.8? I might soon update to OS 10.8... thanks for your efforts though.

Given that the attached log shows this failure:

:info:build magick/fourier.c:563: warning: implicit declaration of function 'cabs'
:info:build magick/fourier.c:563: warning: incompatible implicit declaration of built-in function 'cabs'
:info:build magick/fourier.c:563: error: incompatible type for argument 1 of 'cabs'

and the current version of ImageMagick builds with current compilers that don't allow implicit declaration at all, this is probably fixed?

Resolution: fixed
Status: newclosed

Let's call it fixed. The current port builds fine on Mac OS X 10.6 thru macOS 14.
