#39138 closed request (fixed)

Request: Reaver-WPS

Reported by: noblelyon@… Owned by: ryandesign (Ryan Carsten Schmidt)
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version:
Keywords: Cc:
Port: reaver

Description (last modified by larryv (Lawrence Velázquez))

A developer named Beverly Trahan has submitted this Mac-enabled code to reaver's development team who did not respond (https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3tHnfnS08GycG1fVENETEdvazA/edit)

I compiled it with gcc make. Configure was a little sloppy.

It is working as expected on Mountain Lion 10.8.3

Here is the upstream issue:

It also includes a link to the patches, instead of the full code, which is more useful for MacPorts:

Port added in r106176. On my system I had to run wash and reaver as root to get them to do anything, so I added a note to that effect; did you have to use root too?

Replying to ryandesign@…:

Yes. I think Root is required to use the wireless driver. You'll notice setting en1 into monitor mode wasn't required.
