Hi!
After years of development, Texinfo 5.0 was released in February, and since then 5.1 was released. MacPorts still only provide 4.13.

Just a note, texinfo5 is very different from texinfo4 (it changed languages to perl), so we'd probably want to keep a separate texinfo4 port around for things that have incompatibilities. Fink does something similar with its texinfo-legacy package: http://pdb.finkproject.org/pdb/package.php/texinfo-legacy
