OS X 10.8.4; Xcode 4.4 Trying to install vtk fails with the message

that log file says,

Thanks. vtk5 installed successfully (it says), but it's still not working when I try to use the python vtk package. I've started a new ticket: #39586

It is not intended for you to install the port "VTK". Instead please install the port "vtk44" (or "vtk5" if you prefer).
The VTK port needs to be fixed to tell you this properly. The best way to do so is for the port to use the "obsolete" portgroup.
