confirming with livecheck:
Local-Admins-MacBook-Pro:~ root# port -v livecheck virtualbox* virtualbox seems to have been updated (port version: 4.2.12, new version: 4.2.16) virtualbox-extension-pack seems to have been updated (port version: 4.2.12-84980, new version: 4.2.16-86992)
The virtualbox-guest-additions subport turns off the livecheck though:
livecheck.type none
So that's why that one wasn't confirmed...

This has reintroduced #36910 for me, host 10.7 using Xcode 4.6.3

Force rebuilding ld64 solved the issue for me, bumped its revision in r107918 and added a note into virtualbox's portfile.

How does updating virtualbox affect ld64? It's not even a dependency. It's possible that ld64 needed a rev bump for other reasons, but that doesn't mean it should be rev bumped on every virtualbox update as suggested by your portfile comment.

Also, ld64 was just rev bumped in r106466. The only change since then was to the default variant. If you're just seeing the effect of a different variant, that would mean the problem is still present for the previous variant, and won't go away for anyone who upgrades normally.
