Description
I had a brief conversation with Ole André Vadla Ravnås about his patches for vtenc/applemedia in gstreamer http://cgit.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gst-plugins-bad/tree/sys/applemedia?id=d4ede2d1230c916c1effe6f9a2925d778e4fd184 (the git hash is for the 1.0.7 version) This is a video encoding plugin that is supposed to use the potentially hardware accelerated encoding API called Video Toolkit.
I updated my macports and built gstreamer1-gst-plugins-bad - but unfortunately, after that gst-inspect does not show the vtenc module in the listed plugins.
How can I debug the compilation to see what's going wrong and help resolve this?

gstreamer1-gst-plugins-bad 1.0.9 release doesn't build the encoder. 1.1.3 development release builds it. I have now created a set of local Portfiles to build 1.1.3 and I can get the vtenc_h264 building, unfortunately, I get other errors when trying to mux the output of vtenc_h264 into a stream.
