branching from the ticket #37190 because it's not related to py27-webkitgtk
MacOS 10.6.8 XQuartz 2.3.6 (xorg-server 1.4.2-apple56)
MacPorts 2.0.2 webkit-gtk@2.0.4_1+video
Steps to reproduce (when ready to go through full rebuild):
- port -k install webkit-gtk
- run Programs/GtkLauncher
- you are at google start page, type aaa
- open result "Team aaa"
- crash when page loads
Steps to reproduce (when not willing to recompile):
- port install midori
- run midori from terminal
- you are at google start page, type aaa
- open result "Team aaa"
- crash when page loads
If you do the same steps from within MacPorts X11 server, no crash is experienced.

That's with a very old version of the X11 server. Do you see any issue when using xorg-server from MacPorts or a more recent version of XQaurtz from http://xquartz.macosforge.org?

No issue when using xorg-server,
didn't try with a more recent version of XQuartz because I use the one installed from apple. I'm not sure how to upgrade it, actually...

Ok, then this bug is fixed.
Please use the xorg-server port or install the XQuartz package from http://xquartz.macosforge.org instead of using the X11.app provided by Snow Leopard.

You should just disable the LaunchAgent corresponding to /A/U/X11.app and enable the one from the xinit port if you want to use the MacPorts provided one.
