Thanks for taking a look. I can try to move in that direction at some point, but that is going to take some more work, perhaps even patching the code. Currently I cannot get clang to work for C, or any non-gcc C preprocessor to work for cpp, and thus I need gcc regardless, and it may not be very useful to offer a +g95 variant that still uses gcc for C and cpp. That said, I can use the recipe machinery for the gcc variants in a straightforward manner.

Here is a revised Portfile using the recipe and supporting g95/clang as well, with a patch.
