Verifying checksums for mysql5 Error: org.macports.checksum for port mysql5 returned: mysql-5.1.71.tar.gz does not exist in /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/mysql51 Error: Failed to install mysql5
i had previously upgraded outdated, which installed mysql55 @5.5.33_0 so why is 5.1.71 called for?

This error occurred because this was not a clean attempt. Please clean mysql5 and try again.
mythtv-core.26 uses the mysql5 port which is verison 5.1.71. Variants should be added to the port to support the other varieties of mysql, including mysql51, mysql55, mysql56, mariadb and percona, so that the user can choose. See #39961.

sorry i didn't get back 2 u...worked around it by manually d/l'ing the tar & sticking it where it was expected:
mv ~mysql-5.1.71.tar.gz /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/mysql51/
and the build picked up from there...until it bombed again;-(
xbmc works great as a frontend tho;-)
